As many lucky mobile owners brace for the delicious delights of newest Android update 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, some unfortunates are however still waiting to get the fullest out of most up-to-date OS, Gingerbread. Motorola Atrix users on the UK’s T-Mobile network can fret no more, for you are next in line for Android 2.3.4 – Better late than never, right?
T-Mobile is however making its customers do all the foot work for their latest (and somewhat dated) taste of Android and instead of the traditional quick-fix over-the-air download this update comes via the Motorola Support website courtesy of your handy USB cable. (You can simply hop onto the Support page be clicking – Here). Provided you’ve not modified or rooted your Motorola Atrix, compromising the warranty, you should have no problem in bringing your Android software up to speed with copy and paste functionality, security fixes for Wi-Fi connection and noticeable download management improvements.
But not only are Motorola and T-Mobile making their users do the hard work, but the update to Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread does not come without some sacrifice. It will also refresh the Motorola Atrix so that all third-party software, apps and even music and photos are wiped from the gadget. Motorola Support recommends backing up these items before downloading and installing the latest Android.
