This week we have been testing out the Motorola Defy+ Tough Android Smartphone and have put together one of our Gadget helpline Vids to share our views on the Android Gingerbread sporting hardened little tough device.
Motorola has updated its original Defy to the new Defy+ and with the update comes an all important IP67 certification, meaning it is splash, mud and dust resistant and can even hang out underwater for up to 10 minutes. The screen is also covered by super-tough scratch resistant Gorilla Glass.
Tech specs have also been improved, making the Defy+ faster than the original. A 1GHz TI OMAP processor powers the new model along with the latest Android 2.3.4 operating system (that’s Gingerbread if you’re keeping up!). A 5-megapixel camera adorns the rear of the camera with 2GB of internal storage to store your snaps and a 3.7-inch high-resolution capacitive touchscreen to view everything on.
In the video we share our thoughts on the Moto Blur OS on top of the Android Gingerbread 2.3.4 operating system as well as the design of the handset, installed Apps such as the Cardio trainer and Swype keyboard installation and the social media aspects of the phone.
Take a look at the video on YouTube and if you want let us know if you Agree or Disagree with our thoughts and share some of your own.
