Nickelodeon & IDW Publishing Announce Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Comic App for iPhone & iPad!

As you might have noticed, we’re well into comics here at the Gadget Helpline and would take any opportunity to share our obsession with our blog readers. So we were delighted to hear that one of our favourite franchises Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has arrived on iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch as a dedicated spin-off to the popular ComiXology app – it’s exciting enough to make you shout out “COWABUNGA!”

Nickelodeon, which will soon be screening a reimagined version of T.N.M.T as an animated series, and IDW, the publisher behind the recently re-launched comic book series have announced that through their partnership they have launched the new Ninja Turtles app which will allow readers to keep up with the “heroes in a half-shell” and their on-going adventures, as well as all the character one-shots and mini-stories, as well as offering a chance for new fans to explore the history of the comics with the a complete collection including the earliest black and white editions from Eastman and Laird back in the mid-1980s now presented in full-colour in modern digital format.

The T.N.M.T Comics app is available in the U.S-only for the time being, but the worldwide undefeatable appeal of the heroes four will likely see the app launched here in the U.K soon and through a press release the comics’ current publisher shares the sentiment of many a fan who grew up with the Turtles. IDW states “This is definitely a much-beloved property that has evolved in so many fun and interesting ways over the years, in so many different media markets, and the leap to digital just seems another fitting step in that ongoing evolution.”

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Comics can be read through the new dedicated T.M.N.T Comics app on Apple iOS devices (in the U.S) or through the ComiXology app available for Android. Kindle Fire readers and web-users can also get involved in all the awesome action at read.idwpublishing.com!
