A report from Nielsen reveals the American smartphone markets “most wanted” with Google’s Android platform just taking the top spot in consumer sales.
A survey taken between January and March of this year revealed 31% of smartphone owners are enjoying an Android-based experience – gained 5% of the votes. While just missing out Apple’s iOS weighed in with 30% of users affections – a drop of 3% since last recorded.
Trailing with 11% was the Blackberry mobile platform while 20% of those polled just couldn’t decide!
These results closely reflect those found in a poll over here last month by retailer Phones4u who recorded that 36% choose Android over the 26% of Apple owners in the United Kingdom.
