Fans out there who are upset that Nintendo won’t be attending this year’s E3 conference in June will still be able to get their incoming games news this year. Sadly though, Nintendo will be offering up its news in a Nintendo Direct broadcast which will take place tomorrow.
That’s May 17th, at 7AM PDT / 3PM BST, where the broadcast will be shown on Nintendo’s sites in Europe and America via uStream. In the broadcast Nintendo will look forward to the coming months and reveal its plans for the summer of 2013. In the statement Nintendo says;
Nintendo Direct is coming soon! Make sure you tune in to this global presentation on the Wii U software coming this spring and summer. Check back here on Friday, May 17th at 3 p.m. (UK time) to watch the broadcast live.
The broadcast will reportedly focus on upcoming Wii U games for spring and summer but for games after the summer period you will have to wait a little while longer as Nintendo says those announcements will be made in a separate broadcast “around the time of the Electronic Entertainment Expo in June”.

What we expect is to see some filler games for the summer but with Sony and Microsoft both looking to release their next generation consoles by the end of the year we think the mighty Ninty will be holding back a few big titles in order to compete against its rivals in the winter.
In other gaming news, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment today released a teaser video for Batman: Arkham Origins, which will be coming to the Wii U later this year as well as the Xbox 360 and PS3.
The trailer is just a teaser for fans but it shows the hero of the game Batman battling out with the game’s featured enemy, Deathstroke, at a dock setting.
The trailer also reveals that a full length trailer for the game will be released next week on May 20th. The game will follow later on in the year with a release date of October 25th on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Windows PC and Wii U.
What’s more, a separate handheld title, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate, is being created for the PlayStation Vita and Nintendo 3DS for release at the same time.
