Holy Geek-gasm, Batman! Nokia has just pulled off the cowl to reveal this freaking awesome The Dark Knight Rises variant Lumia 800 Windows Phone!
The Batman-inspired black Nokia handset, which features Microsoft’s recent ‘Mango’ update for mobile gadgets, was unveiled in London – one of the limited UK locations which will screen the extended trailer of the upcoming Batman movie The Dark Knight Rises. This Lumia 800 is also incredibly limited, with only 40 made, featuring an embossed bat symbol as seen on screen in the last two Christian Bale movies and the highly-anticipated new flick which is out on July 20th, 2012. The outer box sleeve matches the gadget in non-descript black featuring only the heroic emblem of the Caped Crusader himself.
The standard Nokia Lumia 800 arrived in the UK on November 28th bringing with it some heroic features including a powerful 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 512MB of RAM with 16GB storage and connectivity to SkyDrive and the updated Windows Phone OS which is presented on a 3.7” 800 x 480 resolution WVGA display.
A video unboxing from Nokia blogger Jon Choo reveals that the 40 Dark Knight limited edition Lumia 800 handsets also come with a Bane background as standard as well as a special movie-tie in Live Tile, which we don’t actually get to see in action in the clip.
We’re not sure which Nokia stores will actually be carrying this very cool variant or any idea of its pricing. But we know you don’t need to be the World’s Greatest Detective to work out that it’ll be unaffordable to most of us. Breaking into Wayne Industries and stealing one or robbing a bank to buy one may be our only option!
