It’s a bit of a pain to be a PlayStation gamer at the moment as the Sony PSN network is suffering outages on a monthly basis due to upgrades and changes to the PSN store and online system. Well folks, prepare yourself for some more waiting about as Sony has announced that they will be pushing out a new PlayStation 3 firmware upgrade.
The latest upgrade to the PlayStation 3 went live yesterday on April 24th and the update itself is called version 4.41. Sony has stated that the update will “improve system stability.”
The information was sent out via the PlayStation Twitter feed where Sony announced:
“PS3 software update v4.41 is coming today, it’s a minor update that will improve system stability.”
The update is now live, and official download links are available below:
There are no details as to what the update entails but we can assume it contains security updates to improve the console’s hack-proof credentials.
