Apple postpone Japan iPad 2 launch following tragedies and ongoing crisis

In respect of recent tragedies and the ongoing crisis in Japan, the country’s launch of the Apple iPad 2 has been postponed, with no further release date announced at this time.

A statement from Apple reads “We are delaying the launch of the iPad 2 in Japan while the country and our teams focus on recovering from the recent disaster.”

The Japanese release for the iPad 2 had been scheduled for the same day as the UK, with the much-anticipated Apple tablet having been set to appear in stores and ship on the 25th of March.

In respect to so many losing everything they own, grabbing the must-have gadget should really be a last concern on anyone’s mind right now.

Apple stores in the country have even been so gracious in opening their doors for those in need of shelter and as a contact point for anyone attempting to get in touch with family and friends affected by the recent terrible events.
