Samsung gets court date to take fight to Apple over Galaxy Tab 10.1 ban

The gloves have come off and it’s time to throwdown! Tired of Apple’s insistance to get its Galaxy Tab 10.1 slab cancelled pretty much all over the world, and being successful in Australia as well as restraining UK and Europe sales less than a week after the gadget went on public sale, Sammy are fighting up from the ropes in a comeback we’d all love to see!

A date of August 25th has been set for South Korean co. Samsung by German courts to make a last ditch appeal against Apple’s ban, which put the 10.1″ tablet off the market for supposed iPad patent infringement claims.
Samsung has responded to the claims with “We will take all necessary measures to ensure Samsung’s innovative mobile communications devices are available to customers in Europe and around the world.”
This fight has been ongoing since just before Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 10.1 was due to hit stores, and Apple have been on a global rampage blocking anything and everything just because, as officially the World’s Biggest Company, they feel they can do that – obviously.
Recently Amazon’s German Appstore has been effectively put on lockdown since Apple banned the addition of new apps from software developers and HTC are embroiled in a legal battle with the Californian co. over patent rows, but like Samsung, HTC aren’t sitting around taking it and have hit back with their own patent claims and its corner man? None other than internet giant Google, who is willing to help out financially should things go badly for the Taiwanese communications group.

Google has itself been having troubles with Apple and new bed-fellow Microsoft. But that, my friends, is entirely another story.
