Skype for iOS brings anti-shake video and new Bluetooth features

If you’re a regular user of Skype and you also have an iOS device, it’s highly likely you have been using the dedicated Skype app on your iPhone/iPod touch – and if so, you’ll be pleased to know that Skype have now released an update to the app which now includes some nifty new features.

The major new features to be included this update is anti-shake technology along with Bluetooth support.

The anti-shake does exactly what you’d expect, it allows for a shake free video calling experience, thus giving you a much clearer video while chatting to your friends. Also included in this update of the Skype iOS app is the inclusion of Bluetooth support, which is something that frequent Skype users have been frequently asking for; meaning you can now easily pair and connect your Bluetooth headset and use in conjunction with making video calls.

One other point  to make about the update is that Skype have also introduced ads to the app, although users with Skype Credits will not see the ads. And finally, Skype say in their blog post that the update also patches some vulnerabilities that were discovered from the previous version.

If you’re interested in seeing how the new anti-shake feature will work, make sure you check out the video below which gives you a brief demo.
