Songbird 1.1 arrives on Android along with honeycomb support and new features

Anyone who has used the desktop version of Songbird will know how user friendly it is, allowing you to easily manage all your favourite media and syncing it to your portable device.

Well now, not long since releasing version 1.0, Mozilla have already let 1.1 out of the gates and on to the Android Market. Version 1.1 sees some useful improvements as well as now supporting Android Honeycomb (version 3.0).

As well as new features, version 1.1 also has some bug fixes as well which will hopefully improve the overall user experience. The new features of 1.1 are listed below:

  • Lock-screen widget
  • Now runs on Honeycomb-based devices
  • Widget stability and responsiveness fixes
  • Remember position in list when using back key
  • Better Bluetooth headset disconnection support as well as Bluetooth car audio support
  • Usability tweaks when receiving and making calls
