Nick Fury Avenges Marvel Movie on Social Site – Samuel Slams New York Times Critic on Twitter!

When a movie makes a worldwide total of $1,305,807,202 in its opening month and becomes a global marketing and merchandising juggernaut, you really don’t take pot shots at it. Especially when the Director of secret military agency S.H.E.I.L.D and Avengers assembler General Nick Fury is listening in on Twitter!

A critic for the New York Times decided to do just that and following some slanderous remarks about the latest Marvel movie The Avengers (or Avengers Assemble to us Brits) he found himself under fire from film star Samuel L. Jackson himself!

A.O Scott who reviewed the big screen super-team-up of Thor, Iron Man, Captain America and the Incredible Hulk slated the film as having failures which are “significant and dispiriting” and that “the light, amusing bits cannot overcome the grinding, hectic emptiness, the bloated cynicism that is less a shortcoming of this particular film than a feature of the genre.”

Jackson, an established movie star, social media commentator and all-round “Bad M**ther F**ker” read these remarks in the high-brow news and reviews rag and hit back tweeting to his more than 932,600 followers:

“#Avengers fans, NY Times critic AO Scott needs a new job! Let’s help him find one! One he can ACTUALLY do!”

With Avengers Boss Nick Fury now leading a social charge against him we’re sure that this NYT writer will be regretting his review with legions of comic book fans defending the honour of one of the most successful and entertaining movies of the modern age of cinema – with some of us having sat through the Avengers twice already!
