OS X Mountain Lion Update to 10.8.1 Now Available for Apple Mac Computers

Apple’s ninth full edition of Mac based software OS X – entitled Mountain Lion – receives its first upgrade today with the arrival of version 10.8.1 to the iTunes store.

After being announced back in February, Mountain Lion was let loose little over a month ago offering new features and borrowing from its mobile based iOS by delivering Notes, Messages and Reminders as independent apps. This bite-sized update weighs in at just 24.2MB but downloaders will benefit from a solution to an issue causing Migration Assistant to crash and better compatibility when used with Microsoft Exchange. Version 10.8.1 also fixes other glitches with the sending of iMessages and launching of the Safari web browser. In additional to this the update generally tunes everything up improving the stability of your Apple Mac computer, plus more.

Updaters can bring their OS X Mountain Lion up to speed by visiting the App Store for Mac. Let us know how you’ve found this smoother and faster beast by letting us know in our comments below or via our @Gadget_Helpline Twitter page or Official Facebook group.
